About ProPrecept
Clear, professional placement feedback — faster.
The problem
Preceptors and Associate Preceptors are registered nurses first. Assessing student nurses on clinical placement is an essential part of the role, but the written documentation — NCADs, MyCad, formative feedback — must be completed alongside a full clinical workload. Notes are often written at the end of a 12-hour shift, rushed, fragmented, and sometimes coloured by frustration or fatigue. The written feedback in the NCAD needs to be clear, professional, and defensible. The gap between raw notes and finished documentation is where time disappears.
What ProPrecept does
ProPrecept is a feedback transformation tool. It takes your rough preceptor notes and reformats them into structured, professional placement feedback with three clear sections: strengths, areas for development, and an action plan. The output uses Irish clinical nursing terminology and is designed to be copied directly into MyCad or any NCAD system.
What ProPrecept does not do
ProPrecept never assesses student clinical performance. It does not evaluate competencies, assign grades, interpret NMBI standards, or make clinical judgements. It reformats what you have already decided. Your professional judgement is preserved exactly as you intended — ProPrecept simply makes the writing clearer, more neutral, and ready for formal documentation.
Who it's for
ProPrecept is built for Preceptors and Associate Preceptors working within the NMBI (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland) standards framework across Ireland — whether you're an experienced preceptor looking to save time or you're new to writing NCAD feedback and want to see what professional, competence-aligned documentation looks like. It is also useful for anyone who provides written feedback on clinical placements in nursing, midwifery, or allied health professions.
Part of the ProPrecept family
ProPrecept is a product of ML Upskill Agents UG (haftungsbeschränkt). ProPrecept Ireland is the first in a family of feedback transformation tools built on the same architecture and philosophy: “reformat, don't assess.” Each variant is purpose-built for the regulatory framework, terminology, and clinical documentation of a specific country.
